The Details:
Literally the sister board to the Mountain Twin, the Jones Twin Sister is the solution for the female rider who wants to get creative both on and off the piste. It’s not a true win – the stance has a 2cm setback – but it’s definitely one for tricks, be they regular or switch.
The board has a traditional camber profile between the feet and short rocker sections at the contact points. This, combined with the mellow wave of the Magne-traction edges, means there’s no shortage of bite when it’s on the trails.
It’s stiff enough to rinse, but not so much that you won’t be confident pressing the piste at lower speeds. These rocker sections will of course come into play when you’re doing that, and they help improve float in powder too.
While a look at the colour scheme makes you think Jones have opted for ‘shrink it and pink it’ when designing the female Mountain Twin, think again. The core has been especially designed for women, and every detail of the board’s construction has been carefully considered for its suitability.
If your skills are up to the task, the Jones Twin Sister could take you to the next level.
