As well as getting airborne as much as possible, the DC Media Blitz should also be ridden at full throttle – its natural habitat is either flying over a park booter (having made full use of that pop) or melting towards one on its sintered base. The triax fibreglass is ideal too, as it’s more responsive than the biax equivalent and therefore more appropriate for aggressive riding.

You can, of course, razz it around a resort if the park’s not looking good, but the focus of this true twin snowboard is definitely on freestyle. Torsten first approached us with the idea to ride the shortest board possible while dominating contests, park laps and even in the streets. We started there by drastically reducing the tip and tail lengths, while extending the running length of the snowboard.

With the aggressive rise in the tip and tail of the Media Blitz, there is an added bonus when spinning onto or off of rails, as they get out of the way.
