UPDATE: Check out our review of the 2019-2020 Bataleon Push Up here
Longtime fans of the Bataleon Push Up women’s snowboard may notice that it’s been given a new shape for 2018/19. That’s not the only change, though; this all-terrain vehicle has had some work done under the hood too.
Where previously it had basalt stringers at each end, the Bataleon Push Up now has a sizeable length of carbon right down the middle. The flex rating has remained the same, however. All Bataleons have been fitted with ‘Super Tubes’ (hollow carbon rods) this year, and on the Push Up they’re located near the edges to achieve additional pop.
“Despite some small changes, the Bataleon Push Up can still do it all”

The core is now half poplar, half paulownia, so while its light weight compliments the mellow flex, it’s also no shrinking violet and can take some abuse. Likewise the base is a tough extruded version, but it’s still pretty rapid.
No examination of a Bataleon board would be complete without mentioning the Triple Base Technology. The Bataleon Push Up’s all-mountain credentials are bolstered by the raised side-bases at each end. In powder this makes it easier for the nose to stay on top of the snow, and in the park you can get away with murder on boxes and rails. If hanging up on a metal feature is your worst nightmare, 3BT is the solution.
Despite some small changes, the Bataleon Push Up can still do it all. It’s now available in smaller sizes too.
