Stale Sandbech is a modern-day snowboarding hero. The guy has taken home more medals than we’ve got fingers to count on. He’s not done yet either so expect to see the Norwegian on some more podiums in the years ahead.
Sponsored by the goggle Gods Oakley, Stale and Oakley have created a whole line of products together for winter 20/21 – including the Oakley x Stale Sandbech Cruiser Down Jacket.
“If you’re looking to stay warm this winter, a down jacket is going to be your best option”
If you’re looking to stay warm this winter, a down jacket is going to be your best option. Down is the warmest option around, and something you’ll come to look for in a jacket especially when snowboarding up in cold, cold, ‘Scandiland’.
The Oakley Cruise Down Jacket has been insulated with 250g down, making it a good option to wear either on its own or as a mid-layer underneath a shell. It is, that being said, quite bulky so make sure you try it out underneath your shell first if you’re planning on getting it for layering purposes.
Treated with a DWR coating, the down jacket repels water too. However, it isn’t made to take out on a properly wet day, so be careful of getting the down wet as it will take ages to dry.
The Cruiser Down Jacket comes in a camo-like mountain pattern. Stale’s signature skull logo has been placed on the waterproof front zip as well, a nice added detail to the jacket’s looks we think you’ll agree. If you see yourself as more of a traditionalist and fancy a timeless black down jacket, the Cruiser comes in that colourway too.
There’s also a reflective logo here to help you stay visible if you’re venturing out at day’s end, as well as plenty of pockets at the front to keep your most valuable items with you at all times.
The model in the photo is 5’10” (178cm) tall and wearing size M.
