The adidas snowboarding outerwear collection knows where its strengths lie. Unlike the boot line, there’s not a lot of bespoke, high-end tech on display here. Fashion is at the forefront, although not at the sacrifice of function – and the prices are hard to beat.
The range remains small, but is constantly refreshed. The adidas Premiere Riding snowboard jacket is an evolution of last year’s Premiere Windbreaker, spec’d up for the mountain whilst keeping a lot of the aesthetics.
“While it may not look like snowboard outerwear at first, the adidas Premiere Riding jacket has you covered where it counts”

The 10K/10K ratings are all you need for regular resort riding, and we don’t think we’ve seen many such jackets out there for such a low price. Freeride purists may want more waterproofing and breathability, but the powder skirt lets you enjoy the sidecountry without freezing every time you have a spill.
The adidas Premiere Riding jacket is quite baggy, but a drawstring system allows you to bring the hem in a little when you want to. It’s tucked away in one of the pockets, so the excess elastic won’t be dangling behind you as you ride.
The minimalist design means that pockets are thin on the ground, but the two on the front and one on the sleeve (for your liftpass, usually) are more than enough for the essentials. One has a key clip, so you don’t need to stress about losing yours on the hill.
