Why we chose the SHRED. Rarify Snowboard Goggles: This is the bang for you buck goggle that’s got us frothing.

Comfortable on the face? Dream-like fit? Large spherical lens that murders flat light and eliminates tunnel vision? Pinch us, already, we must be dreaming.

The goggle market isn’t what it used to be, and we mean that in the best possible way. It’s no longer just a two-horse race, there’s now a bunch of smaller companies coming in and staking their claim. Brands like SHRED. for instance. They offer high quality eyewear at a more affordable price point than the behemoths.

“If you prioritise razor sharp vision then they’re a winner”

The Rarify is a staple in the SHRED. line, and is ideal for any rider who’s looking for a premium goggle that isn’t going to break the bank. They’re OTG compatible, so you don’t have to choose between seeing and seeing.

Shred have opted for a spherical lens, which follows the shape of your eye and therefore reduces distortion. There’s more surface area than a cylindrical lens, offering wider peripheral vision and reduced glare. They’re slightly more expensive to manufacture, but if you prioritise razor sharp vision then they’re a winner.

“These are both Contrast Boosting Lenses (CBL), and feature a NoDistortion technology”

The Rarify, like other SHRED. goggles comes with two lenses included – a “sun and cloud” lens and a “snow and overcast” lens. It’s an easy lens change system, so you’re sorted for any and all conditions on the hill. These are both Contrast Boosting Lenses (CBL), and feature a NoDistortion technology designed to enhance contrast and image definition.

The SHRED. Rarify wide design maximises field of view, making it easier to scout out the rad-looking lines and ride them at your highest performance level.
