UPDATE: Check out our review of the 2018/2019 Ride Rodeo here
This ain’t Ride’s first Rodeo; their heavy-hitting freestyle binding has been a staple of the line for years, and returns for the 2017/18 season to offer more of the same rock-solid dependability.
The Ride Rodeo binding is the top pick for most of the brand’s pro team, and every inch of it screams park performance. For starters it’s built on an aluminium foundation that’s absolutely bombproof, so you know you can rely on it however hard you are on them, and the heelcup can be adjusted for perfect alignment with your boot.

At the same time, it’s not so rigid that you can’t mess around with it. The new highback is thinner than ever, and fairly flat, so tweaking out a nosebone in the mini-pipe is as appealing as a dub over a monster booter.
The ankle strap of the Ride Rodeo is similarly versatile, with an asymmetric design that’s built to support you for the big tricks whilst allowing enough play for smaller stuff. The canted footbed sits your boots at a slight angle, raising the outside of each foot to reduce knee pain in the long run and up the ante of your ollies in the short.
They’re not just for park fiends, but that’s definitely where the Ride Rodeo excels. If you like to get airborne, checking this out is a must.
