UPDATE: Check out our review of the 2018/2019 Burton Malavita here
Many a pro rider – whether on the Burton team or not – opts for the Burton Malavita snowboard binding to deliver the park performance they’re after. Strong yet mid-flexing, and with plenty of effective dampening, even the most discerning park fiend will get on well with these.
“Its flex, comfort and convenience are all perfect for all-round riding, which is why it’s so popular with mere mortals as well as pros”

On the EST version that our tester rode, the chassis is able to move side to side from the perspective of the heelcup, making it easier to shift your weight from the nose to the tail and vice versa. As well as improving your overall riding, you’ll be able to get a bit more tweakage when boning out your grabs.
A rubber mesh sits within the highback of the Burton Malavita, which grips any boot with perfect precision. It also means that you’ll get the right amount of comfort and control without having to overly crank the straps down, giving your whole foot an easier ride.
As for those straps, the ones over your ankle are designed to be interchangeable. Depending on which one you’ve put on which foot, you get either increased control and support, or a mellower, flexier feel. The system is completely tool-free, so it’s easy to change them up on the go.
Even if you’re not much of one for freestyle, the Burton Malavita isn’t one to overlook. Its flex, comfort and convenience are all perfect for all-round riding too, which is why it’s so popular with mere mortals as well as pros.
