Burton Annex 2017-2018 Snowboard Backpack Review

If you spend all of your riding days within the resort boundaries, and are looking for a pack in which you can carry the essentials, then the Burton Annex backpack could be the right call. It’s less snowboard-specific than a lot of the B’s models, but for travel and day-to-day use, it’s a winner.

“When you do take it to the hill, you’ll appreciate the super-comfy shoulder straps and jacket attachment”

If you’re taking a laptop or tablet on your trip, this has compartments for both. They’re easy access, making the airport security check a much smoother process. There are also ample pockets for the various accessories you might have with you, and the 28-litre capacity is ample without tipping over into ‘sorry Sir/Ma’am, but that’ll have to go into the hold’…

When you do take it to the hill, you’ll appreciate the super-comfy shoulder straps and jacket attachment. Nothing kills the buzz of a hike more than sweating buckets, so a chance to stash your outer layer for the ascent is welcome.

Any gear you carry in the main compartment is locked up securely with a zipper system, located under the bucket-style top. There are no fewer than eight different design to choose from, so if you like Burton Annex’s style, you’re bound to find a colourway that works for you.
