When we reviewed the 2018 Bataleon Surfer in our Biblical 2017-2018 Snowboarding Gear Guide, we weren’t just impressed by how it rode, we went as far as to single it out for a much sought-after spot in our revered Whitelines 100. “Yeah, it looks great – but how does it ride?” pondered tester Sam McMahon, before answering himself: “Like a dream boat. And by boat, I mean one of those catamaran things that could get you across the Channel in about thirty minutes – with speed, and in style.” We also took another one out last winter – alas there was precious little pow so our testing was solely on hardpack, but nevertheless The Surfer was still ultra fun to butter around and side hit on, not to mention it was excellent for a spot of charging and Eurocarving. But, yeah, get this baby in powder and you could tell you’d be guerning with joy like an early 90s raver.
