Horsefeathers have been churning out top notch women’s specific outerwear for a while now, and they’ve just announced their new partnership with Heida Birgisdottir, former designer and founder of Nikita. Super stoked to see where this leads, as there’s bound to be some fresh pieces on the cards when you’ve got 2 insanely creative and talented forces joining together. It’s always a bonus when you have a designer who can really relate to the target audience, and Heida has proven time and time again that she’s got the sauce with stylish, comfortable, and practical offerings from Nikita.
“we resonate as people and we always enjoy spending time together in and out of the office”
Heida has already been involved in producing this seasons range of women’s gear, alongside Horsefeathers women’s designer Lucie Bartošová, and they seem really pumped to continue working together in the future. “We all have a great respect for Heida’s experience and for what she has achieved in the past with her brand. Her design style has many similarities to ours and combined with the many years of working within the snowboard industry, the mutual cooperation will bring much benefit to our new collections. The most important part though, is that we resonate as people and we always enjoy spending time together in and out of the office” says Hanus Salz, co-owner of Horsefeathers.
Horsefeathers work closely with The Girl Squad, a gnarly crew of chicks who offer practical feedback and ideas on the brand. Its cool to see a company that is so committed to producing high quality women’s products, and who seem to really care that what they make is not only cool looking, but super technical. Not only for the girls, Horsefeathers boasts an impressive team of riders, including Eiki and Halldor Helgason, Tyler Chorlton and Antti Jussila to name a few. We’re excited to see what comes of this collaboration, and no doubt will be impressed when the new pieces drop next season.
