They say: Take freestyle riding to new frontiers.
We say:
This board’s flex designed for riding reasonably fast, but it’s snub-nosed shape means its also relatively easy to spin and butter. Not designed with anything specific in mind, but capable of handling pretty much anything. Also pretty cheap.
Tester says: Nice, solid entry-level rocker. Holds up well at speed.

About Artec

  • Building boards since: 2004
  • HQ: Begunje, Slovenia
  • History lesson: The Artec project started off as an art-focused sub-brand of Elan Snowboards, allowing shredders to submit their own designs and have them printed on specially made boards. The idea was so successful that Artec set up as its own entity shortly afterwards. The company grew quickly, signing up an international team which includes several of the Think Thank crew, like Gus Engle and Nima Jalali.
  • Ridden by: The kind of achingly cool tight-trousered jib kid who snakes you onto a rail, and then melts your mind with his talk of pretzels, danishes and 270 hardways on at the end of the session.
