The Nike Chosen Series hit up Ehrwald in Germany recently, where absolutely baltic conditions (minus 20 apparently!) didn’t stop an incredible turnout. It was like a non-stop rain of hammers, as rider after rider stepped up.
Here’s the official skinny from Nike:
The free-flowing Jam format came into its element as a steady succession of riders set upon the 15m table, including Evgeniy Joon Ivanov who had made the mammoth trip from Moscow, Russia. €2500 was also on offer for riders making the 10 man finals meaning the 35 signed up riders had even more to play for.
Local girl Nadine Hartinger from Munich took Best Female with her stylish nose grabs over the Nike bonk ball. Daniel Mosl, Most Creative with a huge Switch Frontside Air and Double Back Flip, leaving friend and nearby Innsbruck resident Jonel Fricke to take home Best Style with a beastly Backside 5 Chicken Salad and FS 7 melon.
But Felix Georgii demonstrated an arsenal of tricks throughout the day and finals including BS5 Tailbones, Switch Backside 7s and Rodeos that couldn’t be ignored, eventually earning him the Most Valuable Player.
On hand to welcome him as the next Am to join the Nike Chosen Sessions, Danny Kass, fresh from a recon trip to the Sessions Final location in Austria declared Felix the German champion and claimed that “He rode like a pro, now it’s time to ride with the pro’s”.
