Everyone knows Travis Parker and the Robot Food crew put the fun back in snowboarding (and if you didn’t, just have a look at this classic clip of Parker and his buddy Jussi Oksanen from Lame). But this legend of the sport didn’t stop at film making; along with Jesse Grandkoski, he founded a whole brand to bring his lighthearted philosophy to the sometimes dry and techie world of snowboard product. That brand was Airblaster.
The Airblaster Family Portrait is a six-part series chronicling the history of the company and introducing us to the riders on the team. It’s especially nice to learn a little more about the personalities of the riders, because let’s face it most pros are pretty sick these days. And as Travis Parker proved, a little individual character – and a little fun – goes at least as far as a big bag of tricks.
