Southern Nights is the first project for NZ based Rusty Toothbrush and they’ve really gone all out to deliver some fresh spots.
Despite being the base from which to venture out to nearby resorts, Queenstown itself rarely gets snow at its low altitude, which makes this film all the more spectacular. Every snowflake you see has been transported down to the city to create some sick urban shred spots that are usually the reserve of our friends in the skateboard world. It’s a similar story to Jamie Nicholls riding the urban spots of Leeds – not somewhere typically associated with urban shredding, only there’s even less snow to play with in Queenstown.
Man hours galore, the trailer hints that some pretty tight spots, both urban and park, will be set to grace our screens when the full movie is released in the near future.
The riding trio consists of Alex Stewart, Troy Tanner and Daniel Medina.
