An ever snowing personality,
Fed by sun, snow & friends.
Adjusting to this environment.
Always snowing, but always rooted,
Staying True…
So say-eth Volcom on their latest project: Mr Plant. Or as we should say, Pat Moore‘s latest project, as for thios film he will follow in the footsteps of Terje Haakonsen and Gigi Ruf by having a Veeco Films production focused solely on themselves.
Well not completely solely – joining Pat in his adventures from last winter (and right now in Chile, the movie hasn’t totally wrapped yet) will be Seth Huot, Elena Hight, Scott Blum, Mike Rav, Jake Welch and Arthur Longo.
But not only that, bona fide legends and Volcom powder stalwarts Terje Haakonsen, Jamie Lynn and Bryan Iguchi will feature too.
While this isn’t exactly a first look at the forthcoming movie – it was tacked onto the end of the last episode of Pat’s Blueprint web series a few months ago – it has got us extra excited for the upcoming London première in October.
Pat Moore can slay everything from huge urban gaps and street rails through to backcountry booters and Alaskan spines.
When Terje and Gigi both got the Veeco treatment (the former with The Haakonsen Faktor in 1999, the later with 9191 in 2010) they were both seminal moments in snowboard history. Terje’s movie was groundbreaking in both filming and riding, Ruf’s was notable for an unlimited pool or riders to choose from and an original soundtrack. Both of these bode well for Pat Moore’s Mr Plant.
As does Mr Moore himself: widely hailed as one of the best all round riders of now, if not all time, he can slay everything from huge urban gaps and street rails through to backcountry booters and Alaskan spines. We can’t wait to see the full movie, and the full range of terrain him and his crew leave behind destroyed.
Roll on Mr Plant.
