She’s the current undisputed Queen of Halfpipe, so it’s no surprise that Chloe Kim took the top spot going into finals day. With a huge first run but an extremely shaky second attempt, the current Gold Medalist has it all to lose. Japan’s Mitsuki Ono, China’s Xuetong Cai and Queralt Castellet of Spain will do their best to topple Kim and claim the top spot on the podium tomorrow.
It’s heartbreak for USA’s Maddie Mastro as she fails to qualify by fractions of a point. As one of the few women who has been able to challenge Kim over the past few years we were hopeful for a tense final, but the two-time World Champion unfortunately couldn’t put her best down on the day.
