Horsefeathers King of Jib 2019 Recap

All the hot content from the 2019 King Of Jib Event

The Horsefeathers King Of Jib 2019 popped off! The badass Czech jibbing bonanza was held at the K2 Vitkovice snowpark, with a special set up for the comp. The concept is simple – riders had a month to submit a 1 minute video of them seshing the Horsefeathers Jib Playground, and judges would choose the 7 raddest entries to be invited back for the final event. With the youngest rider coming in at only 12 years old, it was set to be a super cool contest to see who would be crowned 2019 King Of Jib.

The Rusty Toothbrush crew were on hand to cause a ruckus and get everyone hyped up, and Alex Stewart even brought a slice of the action with his own pizza delivery service. The set up was insane and seemed the feature of the day was the container, with 12 year old Timon Matena stomping a huge frontboard off of it. The 7 riders battled it out in a jam format, allowed to hit whichever features they wanted to, with the whole aim being to create some sick content. The riders were the eventual judges of the event as well, rating each other at the end of the day to see who would walk away victorious.

“More like a session with friends and a cameraman”

The whole event just seemed like a real barrel of fun, with eventual winner Dan Porkert taking one of the most drawn out bails we’ve seen in a hot minute. He said of the event “it was way more like a session with friends and a cameraman and a photographer, than a classic contest. So pretty much like a dream”.

Dan Porkert took the top spot, Roman Dlauhy with the numero 2, and Adam Adamski rounding out the podium with third place. Honorable mentions for Filip Znamenacek, Dominic Janouch, Timon Matena, and Petr Bulusek who all killed it the whole day. We’re stoked to see how the 2020 King of Jib is gonna top this one, but we’re sure they’ll find a way.
