Freeride World Tour 2014 Second Stop To Go Ahead Saturday

CAN SASCHA HAMM STAY ON THE PODIUM?

Sascha Hamm getting fast and loose in Courmayer last weekend

After his quite frankly awesome second place earlier this week in Courmayeur, Italy, Sascha Hamm will again be strapping up to drop in on the World Freeride Tour tomorrow morning in Chamonix, France, weather permitting. A stupid fall at the very end of his last run may have cost him the win so could be first place potential!

The scheduled start time is 7.45am with the live webcast kicking off 15 minutes before on the official website. Never fear though, normally they let the skiers go first after faffing around waiting for the conditions to be perfect, so don’t panic if you sleep through your alarm.

We hope they’ll push to go through with it tomorrow; there’s a huge dump forecast for Sunday continuing for a few days, so with poor vis and a lot of snow falling on an unstable pack there’s a chance that towards the end of the weather window the conditions might be too dangerous.

Anyway, here’s us wishing Sascha the best again, we’re sure he’ll kill it! The video highlights from the last stop are below, including a super-stylee run from winner Sammy Luebke.
