After our article on unusual competitions a couple of weeks ago we’ve been on the look out for weird and wonderful formats. Luckily Stew Monk from Reel Fun Media passed us on this edit that actually is the competition; the Shreddie Feature Jam, presented by Burton.

This is the third year the contest has been running, three features are chosen and each is sessioned for an hour on camera, anyone can enter and everyone that does gets at least one hit featured in the final edit. Winners are chosen from the best tricks on each feature, plus prizes for best girl rider, best stack etc. Cool concept no?

This time round the best trick prizes went to Tommy Bowers, Nico Droz and Dylan Barry, but the sickest thing about this comp was that everyone involved was obviously having a great time. Except JJ Jones who managed to snap his board clean in half on a wildcat-to-fakie!

If you’re around Avoriaz on the following dates make sure you get down to the parks and join in, at the very least you’ll get to meet the legendary Shreddie!

12th March – Jam Chapelle (the small park)
23rd April – Jam Arare (the big park)

There will also be the annual Stash Gathering, taking place on the 16th March, another open competition format; keep sending in these awesome competition formats!
