Dan Brisse

With a shortage of large ski resorts, Minnesota tends to breed world-class urban riders – and Dan Brisse may be the best of the bunch.

While handy on a powder kicker, the streets have been his home ever since he blew us all away in Absinthe’s 2009 release Neverland. He swiftly followed that up with the ender in NowHere, as well as a stonking section in CAPiTA’s Defenders Of Awesome. There’s no questioning his commitment – just his sanity. We dread to think about what might happen should one of his monstrously-sized building gaps ever go awry but, fortunately for us all, Dan stomps it every time.

The X Games Real Snow event seemed tailor-made for Dan when it appeared in 2011, and he duly went on to win. After repeating his success the following year, he was finally bested by Louif Paradis in 2013. Still, we doubt we’ve seen his last gold.

His penchant for crazy urban spots has even inspired its own spoof Instagram account – and if we’re honest, we could see him stepping up to a few of those soon…
