If you weren’t at home stuffing your face with cheese and chocolate this Christmas while weeping at the prospect of stepping outside into the British deluge, then you were out riding in the mountains. Probably much to the dismay of your fellow Brits back home who have to suffer seeing your bluebird pow day pictures all over Facebook.
But we’re not here to criticise or scorn or hurl angry (read: jealous) abuse. We asked you guys to send us your best shred photos taken over Christmas and New Year – and these were the results. So, if you’re back in the office and looking longingly out the window, here’s some pictures to get you pumped for your next shred trip or reminisce about one just gone.
Charlotte Ozzi Stevens basking in this beaut of a sunset in Les Arcs, France.
David Stillman captured this rad little still (sorry, couldn’t resist) of some dude throwing a nice method off a mini drop.
George Long Howell sent in this artistic snap of some big ass icicles in powdery Hakuba, Japan.
Shameless shot from my own shred break to Avoriaz last week. Four days of bluebird skies after a big dump on Boxing Day. We bypassed the crowds by heading off-piste up near the Fornet lift and had an awesome ride down a natural halfpipe before I majorly stacked it…
Chris Elesmore caught his fellow shredder cruising through some awesome pow in Val D’Isere.
Photographer Wayne Lennon papped this rider blocking the sunlight in the Tignes park.
David Brighton drowning in snow (is there anything better to drown in?) in Mürren, Grindelwald, Switzerland.
Former Whitelines turned Onboard online editor throwing down this stalefish off a drop in Avoriaz.
Stephen Marshall proving to us just how much snow there is up there in Scotland after he snapped this photo of mate Andrew Rodger dropping the canyon in Glencoe.
You’ve gotta love a good iPhone panorama. It’s a tool practically made for alpine views such as this one by Sam Wrigley of the beautiful Gstaad…
Happy New Year y’all!
