Two-time Olympic gold medallist Shaun White has purchased an extinct volcano in the South Pacific, according to reports.

“Yeah, we’re just organising a Big Air here. That’s all, nothing else…” said White, Air & Style’s majority shareholder since 2014, when questioned. “It would be good to do one indoors. And also to gap over a giant shark tank, which is obviously the reason why I have one of those”.

The multiple X Games champion was quick to answer concerns about the logistics of holding a snowboard competition inside a volcano, reminding the assembled crowd of journalists that he’d already ran one in urban California during a drought.

“This will be a piece of cake compared to that”, he said before gathering up a white cat and disappearing behind a thick steel door.

White made no further comment, other than a nervous laugh when someone complimented the impressive fireworks display that his staff appeared to be preparing.
