Last week we may have mentioned that the Relentless Freeze Festival headliner would be announced this week. We are nothing if not men of our words, so here you go: topping the bill on the main stage will be The Streets.
It’s an interesting choice for the big booking – rather than a straight-up party band, they’ve gone for Mike Skinner’s oft-melancholic collective. It could also lead to a large proportion of the crowd not having a great deal of interest in snowsports; the boys are about to call it a day, and their army of loyal fans will probably jump at the chance to see them one more time, big air or no big air. Heck, it could be an equestrian dressage festival and they’d probably still come in droves. If you’re into shredding and into Skinner, though, this is your lucky day.
There are still some early bird tickets on sale, which you can get by signing up to the newsletter at the Freeze Festival official website. Regular tickets will go on sale on Monday 16th May.
