The FSO4 Freeze festival is returning to London this October and looks set to go off in the usual style. Bringing its unique combination of high-level snowboarding competition and a bangin’ musical line-up to the area in front of Battersea Power Station, this year’s festival looks like it could be better than ever.
The snowboarding line-up so far includes a Battle of Britain comp on the Friday night, pitching the finest riders in the UK against a bunch of hand-picked super-pros from around the globe. This year’s international contingent includes Peetu Piiroinen, who is hoping to defend the title he took in 2008 and Scotty Lago, last year’s best trick contest winner.
Saturday night will see the massive metre real snow kicker host a leg of the FIS world cup, while Sunday will see riders competing for the Best Trick gong.
The musical line-up looks equally sick, with a DJ set by Aussie drum n bass heads Pendulum on the Friday night, followed by a set from electronic legends Orbital. Eagles of Death Metal (Josh Homme’s new band) take the top slot on the Saturday, with Calvin Harris supporting, while the Sunday will see sets from Chase & Status and Friendly Fires.
All in all, the festival looks set to be a belter. We at Whitelines will definitely be down there, and we’ve got ten sets of tickets to give away to lucky readers. Just click here to get your hands on them, or here if you want the special VIP tickets.
