http://mpora.com/videos/iEIq3eMyK Dragon goggles have been getting busy over the past couple of months, snapping up several of our continental brethren to ride for their new European Team. Gerome ‘Coin Coin’ Matthieu, one of the biggest names in the French snowboard scene and a mainstay of Apo’s team, Norwegian halfpipe slayer Tore Holvik and Slovenian Luka Jeromel have all signed for the brand recently. Matthieu recently won his first major TTR competition by taking the 4-Star Stomp-It Title in Modena, Italy. With an Apo pro-model and an outerwear deal with Nike 6.0, this Pyreneean native is gonna be making waves this season.
Tore Holvik (who you can watch ripping it up in Laax above) is young, but as is the way with Scandis, he seems to have been around for ages – having entered his first TTR-recognised comp at the ridiculously young age of 10! Now 22, he’s currently sitting in the top 10 of the TTR World Tour. Not bad eh? Meanwhile Luka Jeromel recently found himself hooked up by Forum’s Youngblood team. Still only 19, he seriously impressed at the Forum team week over in Deux Alpes last summer. So all in all, not a bad haul for Dragon, and their new European team manager (and former Whitelines filmer) Prendi. Nice one dude!
