As the first snow starts to fall in the European Alps and the glacial chairlifts start waking again from their summer slumber our second issue of the 2014/15 season is just about to hit shelves.
And what a way to land! Our very own Olympian hero Jenny Jones bagged the cover shot with this peach of a back three tail shot at Nine Queens where she came joint third. An absolute monster and a banging shot made all the better as we didn’t actually tell her she’s made it until just before it hit subscriber’s doormats!
You can see her reaction as we gave her the good news below (she had the flu bless her, but look how stoked she is!):
The Bronze Age – Jenny Jones and Life After Sochi
Not only did Ms Jones get the cover but we also gave her a full feature interview, covering everything up to and since her Sochi success. Yeah Jenny!
Empire State of Mind – The UK Burton Team in New York
Just before our old deputy editor jumped ship over to Mpora.com he managed to blag a spot on a trip to New York State with Ollie Dutton, Orla Doolin and Ross Needham: the UK Burton Snowboards team. You can even check out the accompanying video evidence of the trip right over here. The digital age eh?
Song of Ice and Fire – An Ode to Kamchatka
Kamchatka – an remote and isolated peninsula just off of Mother Russia and one of the last truly hidden snowboarding destinations around. Daniel Tengs investigates with the Pirates crew whilst Neil McNab explains the essentials on how to get there and enjoy it yourself.
The C Word – Competitive Snowboarding’s Future
Our very own Preacher Man picks up his quill and explains why true competitiveness is essential to snowboarding while Ed Leigh outlines the future of his vision for the perfect world snowboard tour.
Plus, a whole host of regular features, news, reviews and irreverent articles covering everything from Nitro‘s stinky tour bus to why you should be supporting your local shred store. At the very least it’ll give you a month’s worth of bog reading…
Long live print.
