Making waves in the snowboard world over the last few years, it was inevitable that Naturally star Jake Blauvelt was going to get his own pro-model boot.

Well now it’s here and the Whitelines editor Ed Blomfield caught up with Jake at ISPO earlier this year to find out about the design process behind the boot. Jake was keen to be involved from the start and from what it seems, Adidas answered his every beck and call concerning aesthetics and performance. I for one am a big fan of the locking D-Ring, allowing you to have the lower part of the boot tight and the upper part loose, for instance, so you can find your own optimal level of comfort and performance.. Very snazzy.

Taking inspiration from the classic Adidas football boots, Jake himself is a keen ‘soccer’ player – there’s a few juggling clips in Naturally – he’s actually not bad for an American.
