Known for producing quality merino wool base layers, including the Cascade Merino Flex that made our Whitelines 100 this year, Mons Royale is updating their mid-layer range for this season. Both the Decade Hoody and Decade Pullover are getting a facelift, while the new Decade Pants have been added to complete the look. And, as for most of the brand’s apparel, these too can be found in both men and women’s specific cuts.

Who Are The Mons Royale Decade For?

Mons Royale is built on quality and comfort. Sustainably produced, the Decade mid-layer outfit is made from ethically and sustainably produced Merino Fleece and can be worn underneath your snow outerwear or on its own. Whether you’re looking for something to sit back in after a day up the hill, or something stylish yet comfy for travel, the Decade is a great option.

Materials and Construction

Made from Mons Royale’s Merino Fleece mixture (59% Polyester, 36% Merino Wool and 5% Elastane) the Decade top and bottom are designed to keep you warm, dry and comfortable no matter the season. The DWR recycled ripstop panels add extra protection where needed while the relaxed fit makes layering up underneath easy.

When it comes to the production of Mons Royale’s merino wool fabrics the brand has partnered up with Shanghai Challenge Textiles (SCT), an innovative world-class manufacturer specialising in merino wool that’s been awarded the Chinese Environmental Certification. The wellbeing of the company’s workforce is being catered for, which has contributed to a less than 5% staff turnover. Not only is this the Decade a comfortable outfit, but it’s also ethically made.

Features

Both the Decade Pullover (as seen on the female model) and the Decade Hoody (as seen on the male model) are equipped with zipped pockets and a hem cinch for draught control. The hooded version comes with a hood designed to fit over goggles and a beanie.

The pants are designed with exactly the same features for both men and women: zipped pockets, drawcord waistband and elastic ankle cuffs.
