While the ladies don’t get quite as much to choose from out of the NOW range, there is still a pretty versatile range on offer – even more so with the addition of the Brigada to this year’s line. The Conda bindings are the most performance-oriented, taking their design cues from the men’s Pilot binding.
Whether your time in the mountains is spent lapping the pistes or hiking a secret stash in the backcountry, NOW’s patented Skate Tech offers a unique approach to binding tech that lends itself to every style of riding. There are four contact bushing positioned at each corner of the binding’s hanger (baseplate) that the rider can directly apply pressure to via a central fulcrum point that enables a very subtle rocking between the edges. This not only provides much more direct transmission of power to the edge but also reduces vibrations underfoot that inevitably lead to foot fatigue and pain.

One of this year’s upgrades for the Conda comes in the form of the all-new, super grippy 3D toe straps. Whether you choose to place this on top or over the front of your boots, they hug and conform to any shape or size and provide a solid grip that won’t have worked its way loose by the bottom of the run.
The second upgrade is the, somewhat less exciting, carbon buckles. The weight they save is pretty negligible, but they’re significantly stronger than the former version and will give your binding added durability.
This is the most freeride focussed model in the women’s line from NOW, so intermediate and advanced riders who want the most out of their bindings should go for these. Unless your completely devoted to the park, they’ll be a great option for the rest of the mountain too.
