UPDATE: Check out our review of the 2019/2020 Rome Guild here
Both the men’s and women’s versions of the Rome Katana bindings rank among the most impressive, most advanced models that you can find anywhere. However, all that tech comes at a price, so Rome has made sure to provide options for the less flush too. For the men it’s the Vice, and for the women it’s the Rome Guild.
The Rome Guild women’s snowboard bindings feature a similar baseplate to their high-tech big sister. The lightweight aluminium chassis runs right from the heelcup to the toe strap on the inside of each foot, but not on the outside.
“The Rome Guild bindings pack more clever tech than we can go through here”

This means you get plenty of edge-to-edge response, but can easily shift your weight from nose to tail for a more surfy ride – not to mention some serious tweak in the grabs.
Unique to the Rome Guild is its asymmetrical highback that features a prominent cut-out near the top. When you need to rely on it to hold a strong heelside edge, it can deliver, but when you want to take things slower and get some flex out of it, it won’t feel like it’s got a case of rigor mortis.
Despite being pared back compared to the Katanas, the Rome Guild bindings still pack more clever tech than we can go through here. Rest assured that comfort and performance are both well catered for, at a price that everyone can appreciate.
