They say: Please excuse us but we’ve gotta claim it – The Boron boards are sick!
We say: The Boron features a poplar core with carbon stringers, and a camber profile, meaning it’s got plenty of pop. A bit stiffer than some of the progressive boards featured here, but it’s strong, and great if you’re starting to ride a bit more aggressively.
Tester says: Sweet at speed for a board this price, and tons of pop.

About Omatic

  • Building boards since: 2005
  • HQ: Encinitas, CA, USA
  • History lesson: Despite being relatively new to the snowboarding scene, Omatic could never be accused of being naïve. Founded by snowboarding legend/TV pundit/all-round funny man Todd Richards as well as the hot-as-hell Tara Dakides, the company has a wealth of snowboarding experience behind it. All this means it doesn’t take itself, or snowboarding too seriously. Fun has been the priority since day one here.
  • Ridden by: Riders who think they know what’s what, what’s hot and what’s not in snowboarding. And probably never get tired of sneering at you cos you don’t.
