UPDATE: Check out our review of the 2018/2019 Union Force here
This is just crying out for a ‘the Force is strong’ gag, but we’ll resist the obvious dad-joke and remind everyone that the Union Force binding is amongst the most durable and reliable models that you’ll find anywhere.
“The blended nylon baseplate and highback, and aluminium heelcup combination scores high on the taking-a-beating stakes”

The blended nylon of the Union Force’s baseplate and highback is surpassed in strength only by the aluminium heelcup. The combination scores high on the taking-a-beating stakes, and yet doesn’t weigh you down.
A strong binder is only as good as its comfort, of course, as an unbroken chassis is no good if your foot has borne the brunt of the impact instead. That’s why the Force uses EVA cushioning which, thanks to its durable design, is as effective on the last day of the season as it was on the first.
Like most Unions, the straps on this model don’t appear to be too techy, but they’ve got it where it counts. The ankle strap has been designed to eliminate any potential pressure points, regardless of boot choice, and has enough padding to keep you comfy when things get hairy. The toe strap is lightweight and minimalist, and can be worn either over the end of your boot or across the top.
