Stale Sandbech ‘Station to Station’ Episode 7: Vierli

Vierli: it seems to be some sort of Norwegian school of witchcraft and wizardry for all we can tell. It played home to this amazing edit earlier this year, one of the legendary RK1 webisodes and the first ever triple frontside rodeo off the toes.

From the looks of things one hell of a session went down in Vierli.

In fact this is where Stale Sandbech himself put down his first ever triple, underflip 1260 style. The still fresh spring conditions and park crew’s willingness makes this a prime location for end of season bangers to blossom.

So back again he came last at the end of last winter, primed with his own video crew and two other Norwegian park rippers: Len Jørgensen and Øivind Andersen.

From the looks of things one hell of a session went down – doubles everywhere, a triple and one of the coolest looking double corks we’ve ever seen 50 seconds in: kinda like a straight backflip to front cork 540. Watch it, we’re still unsure!

Of course to counter all the rotations there are some moments of pure style that leap out: huge front threes from all three riders, a giant one-footer from Len and rad rail work, again from all three.

Blistering stuff, and considering we thought we were all out of Stale stuff this year a total bonus! To see him in action in the new Oaklet teaser, head on over here.
