[series]
Continuing on with the Planes, Trains and Automobiles style travelling theme – the final instalment of the Rome FIND Snowboarding series is here. This time it’s an all out roadtrip through from Munich to Norway – with Len Jorgensen, Thomas Delfino and Will Lavigne leading the charge. Where the first two episodes have focussed on exploring less-well-known locations – this time it’s back to Europe and spots which many of them call home.
It turns out that, like anything, the best way to find snowboarding is to stop looking, and that’s exactly what happens in the final episode here.
From surfing the river in Munich, to hitting skateparks in Hamberg, and stopping in at the Bispingen Snowdome, the crew make their way up through Denmark and Sweden before joining forces with Stale Sandbech in Oslo and heading over to Folgefonna – and therein the snowboarding itself begins in full force!
We’ve discussed before the ability of the Rome team to take a cliched idea like ‘Finding Snowboarding’ and make it work – and here again is a shining example. It turns out that, like anything, the best way to find snowboarding is to stop looking, and that’s exactly what happens in the final episode here. The team make the absolute most out of what they know, have a genuinely enjoyable time, and it comes through on film. Simple concept – fantastic execution – it’s another winner in our books.
