Nike 6.0 have spent the last year gathering a team of all the talents – a crew of young and ludicrously-talented riders from all over the world. They’ve poached some of them from other brands, promoted others quickly up through their own ranks and brought in a couple of older shredders to add a bit of experience to the mix. Last spring, they took pretty much this whole team to the Norwegian resort of Folgefonna, where legendary local shaper Lars Eriksen had created a set-up that can only be described as epic – both in terms of scale and the stunning setting. There, Gjermund Braaten, Ethan Morgan, Gerome Mathieu, Ståle Sandbech, Terje Haakonsen, Jake Blauvelt, Matt Ladley, Mason Aguirre, Kevin Backstrom, Erik Botner and of course, our very own Jamie Nicholls had all the resources they needed – from snowmobiles to ferry them up the mountain to fishing rods for the down days – for a truly impressive session. You might have seen clips of this in Ethan Morgan or Stale Sandbech’s season edits, but that won’t quite prepare you for the full thing. I know it’s seventeen minutes long, and I know it’s Nike-tastic, but really, you need to watch this. The filming’s incredible, and the riding really is, as promised, insane computer game shit.
