They’ve once again gone for a good mix of urban stuff and progressive backcountry badass-ness with some of the drops – both onto concrete and into pillows – looking bigger than anything we’ve seen before. Seriously, check out the pillow line on 1.15, or the front board along a building (which we suspect might be by our October cover star Dan Brisse) on 0.56. Mental. And then there’s the big mountain lines… whoever it is riding the line and spinning off the cliff band at 0.15 has clearly got to have a screw loose. Look how far he flies!
The old guard of Absinthe are present and correct as usual, with Gigi Ruf, Nicolas Muller, Wolle Nyvelt, Sylvain Bourbousson, Bode Merrill, Romain de Marchi, DCP, JP Solberg, Annie Boulanger and Dan Brisse all there. Add in the likes of newcomers Johnnie Paxson and Matt Schaer and you have one hell of a crew. So whichever way you cut it, this is looking like it’s gonna be a damn good movie. Better than the Art of Flight? Well we can’t say for sure, but we can say that we can’t wait til the Twe12ve London Premiere (on September 26th) to find out!
