Rolled up pants, thug rugs under helmets, lightning speed rope tows, the kinkiest rails, transfers, pretzels and that now-famous yellow and blue colour scheme: this is Trollhaugen at it’s best.
That now-famous yellow and blue colour scheme: this is Trollhaugen at it’s best
Whilst there has been edit after edit shot from the Minnesota ski hill popping up online for months now, whether from die-hard locals or visiting jib celebs, this is one of the finest examples of their progressive set up and seemingly endless talent we’ve seen. The turbo charged rope tow to the side coupled with a well funded and motivated park crew means that the talent cultivated here is off the charts, so it’s no wonder that when Volcom brought their Peanut Butter Rail Jam format to Troll, the locals went HAM.
From the under 16 category, right the way through the girls and into the open, you’d be hard pressed to find such a density of talent at any other rail jam. Properly pressed presses into front threes, styled boardslides through the famous quad kink and a gooey front board to pretzeled-transfer were among the highlights, but to really get to grips with the insanity going down here, you’d be better off just watching it. Wow.
