‘Livin’ is the first offering from WillFilmForFood’s Aaron Hooper – the same filmer that brought us Givin’s ‘ONE‘ and ‘too‘.
While those movies had a pretty hefty mix of urban and pow footage, this new one is looking much more au-naturel. In fact, we didn’t see a jib in the entire teaser (if you can call it that at almost 8 minutes long…).
The crew has had a bit of shake up since last year, with Keegan Valaika, Alex Stathis, Alex Tank and many more prominent jibbers all gone, being replaced by riders like Fredi K, who definitely has more of a penchant for backcountry.
The aesthetic of the teaser has softened as well, replacing darker images and heavy slams with long, drawn out timelapses and a laid back vibe. Some people will dig it, others will find it a little dull but at least the snowboarding at the heart of it all looks good.
Livin is out in the autumn and features: Frederik Kalbermatten, Forrest Bürki, Mason Aguirre, Aurel Anthamatten, Erik Botner, Shayne Pospisil, Matt Edgers, Nick Ennen, Wyatt Stasinos, Cory Stasinos, Nick Russell, Forest Bailey, Blake Paul, and Patrick McCarthy.
