Ever stood at the edge of a lake skimming stones, trying for ages to get one to reach the other side? Yep, now imagine that stone is fully grown Canadian Mat Galina, and that lake is 60 metres wide…

Impossible you say? Well not at 80 km/h apparently. With a bit of help in the form of a pretty speedy tow-in Mat actually makes this look, well…easy. Unless this is some kind of camera trickery like liquid mountaineering from a few years back.

For anyone hoping for more snow-swimming action in the style of the WBB crew, it sounds like Mat stayed relatively dry. As far as we can tell from the surprise in his voice this was done on his first attempt, but we’re promised more details in the next episode of Oi Mate!, so fingers crossed for some blooper footage, isn’t that what water slides were made for?
