Last week the people’s champion Travis Rice came through with some last-minute holiday cheer, Travis took to Instagram to tease the super imminent, super limited mid-season drop of Lib Tech’s brand-new Orca Split. Yes, you read that correctly, everyone’s favourite apex predator is now twice as nice with its very own split version.
Quite frankly, there’s never been a better time to drop a new splitboard, with lift closures and the uncertainty surrounding resorts in general, leg powered ascents have already seen a huge boost in popularity. Years in the making with Mervin’s experiMENTAL division, featuring artwork by the talented Mike Parillo, and manufactured in their eco-friendly factory, producing zero hazardous waste, the Orca Split is coming soon to a skin track near you.
