Here’s another board to file under ‘quiver killer’; the Never Summer Infinity is designed for the female rider who enjoys the entire mountain – and needs something that can keep up.

It may be a twin, but the profile has a blend of rocker and camber that’s designed to perform well even when freestyle’s not on the agenda.

The large rocker section between the feet will help keep the front end up when riding powder, while the camber sections on either side of the bindings are there to grip the piste. When you also factor in the multiple-radius sidecut, the Infinity should handle even the slickest slopes.

One new upgrade for 2015/16 is the graphite-infused sintered base, so you can really point this thing if that’s what you’re into. The V-shaped carbon inlays at the tip and tail help to give it stability at speed without stiffening the whole board, thus leaving the door open for messing about on park features and natural hits. Whatever you end up doing the new Carbonium topsheet is built to withstand a beating.

Never Summer wear the fact that their boards are “Not Sold Everywhere” with pride, and the smaller-scale production is part of their appeal. It does mean a steeper price, but it could be a sound investment if you’re needing something that can do it all.
