The Details:
Along with several other boards in the brand’s range (Larson, Genovese, Bogart), the Dinosaurs Will Die Geeves is named for the rider it’s been built for. Andrew Geeves has been a DWD man on-and-off since the 2008/9 season, and now gets his own pro model.
He’s gone for traditional camber, albeit a mellow ‘lowrider’ version. It’s easy to tame and won’t ever be too twitchy, but don’t expect launch-to-the-moon levels of pop. That said, there’s still more than enough for messing about in the park and on side hits, which is what this board is designed for. The true twin shape leaves every freestyle option open, while the sintered base allows you to really razz it when the slopes are freshly groomed.
The size range skews towards bigger riders (no surprise really – Geeves himself is a lofty 6’3”), with a waist width to match, but if you fit the bill and are in the market for something fun for all conditions, you’d do well to ask Geeves.
