The Burton Paramount is the untarnished King of Pop. With its camber profile, true twin shape and soft flex, the Paramount is ideal for the park rats. That being said, it aims to please a wider audience including anyone who just loves to fool around on the pistes.

It pleases us that the Paramount takes the profile of a traditional camber all the way from tip to tail. The positive camber offers a snappy ride, with dynamic energy on piste, so if you go with this you can be sure you’ve got yourself a stable and powerful park board that holds an edge better than most.

With a sintered base you know you’ll be able to charge, so speeding up for those jumps won’t be a problem with this stick. The softer flex makes it ideal for getting those presses down, and a slight transfer of weight means you can transfer those flatland skills to rails and boxes.

With a mix of both strong and light wood in the core, which are targeting specific areas within the core itself, you’ll get consistent pop and strength with reduced weight. Combined with Burton’s frostbite edge technology (a slight extension of the edge beneath your bindings), it provides you with solid grip on hardpack.

The Burton paramount is a stable, powerful and poppy park board ideal for the more aggressive park riders who like to take their board for a spin on the piste too. If you’re looking for a good time guaranteed, the Paramount will give you one for sure.

Tester’s Verdict

Jon Bird LD Mountain Centre

“The 2020 Burton Paramount is Burton’s full park package. This positive cambered, true twin is a freestyle board for all mountain fun.

“The 2020 Burton Paramount is Burton’s full park package”

The Paramount really takes me back as I don’t really ride freestyle snowboards these days. On the groomers it felt playful and easy to press thanks to the soft flex, but offered up a really stable controlled carving machine thanks to the aggressive positive camber.

Playing on side hits the Paramount really came in to its own, with plenty of pop and stable, solid, landings stomped with confidence. With the Paramount’s true twin shape making it easy to ride switch, Burton have come up with a really fun freestyle ride.

With the Paramount, Burton has cooked up the perfect snowboard for the intermediate rider looking to grow their freestyle abilities and the more advanced rider who is looking for a solid fun snowboard to hit up endless park lines – honing their freestyle repertoire.”

Tester’s Verdict

Stephen MacLeanThe Snowboard Asylum

“No muss no fuss full camber freestyle board. Just an all around solid board without any stupid gimmicks. I’d say more about this board but it would be pointless.”
