A classic camber. Full camber boards seem to be out of favour at the moment, and there don’t seem to be that many out there anymore (everywhere we turn we end up stumbling upon different kinds of hybrids). Luckily for those who seek such a thing, the Burton Kilroy Twin, formerly known as the Kilroy Process, remains true to its traditional profile.

Despite its name change, the board itself remains the same. If you’re looking for a classic twin shaped board with a camber profile, the Kilroy Twin has always been, and still remains, a safe choice. The profile offers hefty snap and aggression on piste. You can trust this board to provide you with all the power you’ll need for your turns, serving up unmatched response, pop and edge control.

The Kilroy Twin allows you to twist and turn like a Russian ballerina, the blunted tip and tail reducing the overall volume of the board and keeping the swing weight low.

With its core made out of a blend of both soft and hardwood, you’ll get a light board without having to compromise on strength or performance. The wood grain of the core is positioned right along your heel and toe edge and is vertically synced with the rest of the core. This ensures impeccable edge hold and will keep you super solid even when the conditions get sketchy.

The Burton Kilroy twin is a fun all-mountain board – so fun, that the size range goes all the way from 135 to 159. No matter your height or board size preference, Burton’s got a Kilroy for everyone.

Tester’s Verdict

Al NasmythFreedom Snowboarding

“Pop. More pop than the Teen Choice Awards being hosted by Andy Warhol after he’s just necked 17 cans of the fizzy stuff. This board was firing me off side hits and kickers like I had springs on my feet. That spring comes from the shape and as you’d imagine with camber board it holds an edge well on pisté, making Theresa May jealous of just how strong and stable it can be.

Rode ok in some chopped up soft snow but didn’t ride any powder on it (it’s not really designed for that anyway). I was surprised at how stiff this board was, but it still flexes enough for presses and butters.

Might be worth sizing down if you’re unsure, I rode the 154 but would get the 152 if I was laying down cash on it. To sum up, I’d say this board is for hot laps, side hits and park days.”
