This new jacket from DaKine continues the brand’s tradition of making top-tier outerwear that doesn’t make you look like you’re tooling up at Everest base camp. The DaKine Eliot 3L snowboard jacket can definitely handle the toughest conditions, and looks great too.
It’s Gore-Tex all the way, with the three-layer variety providing the DaKine Eliot with epic waterproofing and breathability. So while that price tag may be intimidating, know that you’re getting the best with this one.

The tailored fit of the Eliot will suit those who like to stay away from uber-bagginess, but there’s still plenty of room to move. The tail is also a little longer, and has a split hem featuring a subtle mountain print – a nice touch.
Every inch of this jacket has been built to withstand the elements. The cuffs have poppers rather than Velcro, which is more prone to getting clogged with ice and snow, and all seams are fully taped. The powder skirt stretches for the perfect seal against the snow, but can be easily removed if you’d rather ride without it.
The DaKine Eliot 3L keeps your chin and neck protected at all times with an internal storm guard that’s separate to the hood. When you want the full monty of coverage, the subtle elastic toggles at the front let you set the hood exactly where you want it for the best possible shield against the elements.
