Engineered for maximum breathability, the AK Helium Vest has been built with quick-drying moisture-wicking fabrics. The wicking abilities of the vest mean that once engaging in more strenuous activities, the fabric wicks the sweat away and pushes it out onto the outer layer; something which, in turn, will push it out into the environment – leaving you comfortably dry as a result.

Ensuring that the vest can keep you dry but also warm is the 40g of Thermacore stretch insulation. It’s not thick, but then again if you’re aiming to place this underneath your jacket you wouldn’t want it to be.

Not only built to be used as a mid-layer, but the DWR coated vest can also keep water at bay if you intend to wear it as an outer-layer when spring comes knocking or when you decide to embark on a hike up the mountain.

Designed to not place any restrictions on your movements either, the stretchy nylon plain weave fabric allows for total mobility. The reflective detail of the vest will also come in handy if worn in the dark, so you won’t need to worry about not being seen.
