The Details:

Nike may have got out of the boots and outerwear game, but their goggle range keeps on trucking. If you like your goggles on the big side, the Nike Command will do nicely.

Sporting the largest frame in Nike’s range, these stop short of being crazy big and so will still work well with a helmet. The mesh ventilation system is durable and effective, and the triple layer foam is nice and comfy.

The ones you see here sport Transition lenses, which incorporate tech found in fighter pilots’ visors (albeit with a specific tweak for snowsports).Whether the sun’s beating off the white stuff or hidden behind the clouds, the lens will adapt to the changing light conditions to give you a hassle-free day on the hill.

Should you opt for any of the other lenses in the line, the quick-change lens system makes it easy to swap them out.

TESTER’S VERDICT:
Mike Brindley – Whitelines

“I tested the Nike Command Transitions in ideal conditions, with plenty of variation as the clouds came and went throughout the day. They offered fantastic response against glare, and as big a field of vision as you could possibly need.

While they definitely performed in the field, I’d say that the technology is probably most effective when the sun really comes out to play, with the low light function still slightly lacking compared to lenses specifically designed for those conditions.

Still, if you can’t be bothered with switching at all, you won’t find yourself left wanting too much with these either.”
