POW Royal GTX 2017-2018 Snowboard Gloves Review

The POW Royal GTX gloves have an outer shell that’s mostly goatskin leather, with a section of nylon that’ s been treated with water repellant Teflon. No matter how ugly things get when you venture out of bounds, they’ll keep you shielded from the elements and as comfortable as you could ever expect to be.

A layer of lightweight 100g Thinsulate insulation keeps you cosy, lined with micro-fleece that is soft against your skin. Then there’s a layer of Gore-Tex, which remains the pinnacle for both waterproofing and breathability.

The Gore-Tex membrane in the POW Royal GTX gloves is geared even more towards the latter, so when you’re working up a sweat the moisture can escape the glove easily. Dry hands have the best chance of staying warm and comfortable, so this is a highly valuable feature.

The fingers have been pre-curved for the perfect fit, and each thumb has a convenient and effective goggle wipe. The under-cuff design is finished with a velcro fastener that’s been designed not to get caught on your jacket, or any other layers for that matter, and looks pretty great too.
