A young Gigi Rüf burst onto our radars in the early 2000’s with stand out parts in Kingpin and Absinthe productions. His lofty spins, deep bag of tricks and laid back style earned him a place in Burton’s notorious UnInc crew, alongside JP Solberg, DCP and Romain de Marchi. After the Big B disbanded the iconic crew, in 2012 Gigi turned his attention to snowboard production and Slash was born.
More than a decade in, and Gigi has found resounding success with Slash. You’ll find his boards strapped to the feet of countless riders around the globe, and a pro team that boasts freeride legends like Manny Diaz and Olympic medal winner Billy Morgan.
Slash’s flagship board and Gigi’s personal favourite, the ATV, is a multi-award winning deck that truly lives up to its name. It’s a Whitelines team favourite year on year and in our minds is undoubtedly one of the best all-mountain snowboards to ever hit shelves. But Slash is no one trick pony, Gigi has expanded the line to include freestyle killers, kids boards and even dipped his toe into the splitboard game with the Brainstorm and Vertical splits.
